30 hours free childcare information

by Rathvilly Nursery posted 11 months ago

Dear Parents,

We are writing to you to inform you about the government's plan to introduce

30 hours of free childcare for some families from September 2017. To help us

decide whether this will be something our parents will be interested in taking

up and also how we are going to deliver these hours, we wanted your

feedback.

To qualify for this funding you must meet the criteria below;

The additional 15 hours of free childcare is available for families where both

parents are working (or the sole parent is working in a lone-parent family),

and each parent earns the equivalent of 16 hours a week at the national

minimum or living wage, and earns less than £100,000 a year.

Parents will be able to split the funding over 3 different settings if they wish to

do so this can include child minders and holiday clubs.

Please answer the following questions to help us estimate the need in our

settings?

1. Is your child 3 on or before 31st August 2017?

2. Does child currently attend full or part time?

3. Do you meet the criteria as above?

4. Would you increase your child's hours if you received the 30 hours?

5. Would you want to use your hours at one setting ( e.g Nursery) or at more

than one setting?

Please note all 3/4 year olds will be entitled to their 15 hours and we will

continue to deliver this as we currently do. Please do not hesitate in asking

your management teams if you have any queries.

Regards

Kate Reed (Director of Operations)
