Shortlisted for Nursery of the Year!posted 1 year ago
We are delighted to announce we have been shortlisted for three awards at the national Nursery World Awards, including Nursery of the Year for Rathvilly!
Said our owners Debbi and Andy Gould: "We are absolutely thrilled to bits to make the shortlists for Nursery of the Year and Nursery Chain of the Year. This was the first year we have entered these awards and we think it's amazing to be shortlisted in these categories. we are a family run business and family is at the heart of everything we do."
A national early years specialist visits the nursery on Thursday and will spend the day with staff and children to find out more about what we do. Parents are invited to chat to her during her visit to share their own thoughts about First Steps Children's Nursery. We face competition from nurseries in London, West Sussex and Northampton in the Nursery of the Year category.
An individual accolade also goes to Kate Reed, our group's Operations Director, who is a finalist in the category for best regional manager. She was nominated for her dedicated work for the group and her unstinting support and leadership.
Added Debbi: "Our staff all work incredibly hard to provide the best possible experience for children from 0-5 years. Our established settings are all rated "outstanding" by Ofsted, and feedback from our children and their parents shows us we are doing a really good job. Being a finalist in these national awards is the icing on the cake!
The winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony in London on September 26th.
The awards are organised by Nursery World magazine, the early years sector's main publication, with award entries assessed by independent early years leaders, who also visit settings to assess the quality of their work.
